License Management System

The Challenge

One of our US customers, a leading innovator in delivering cost-effective IT Asset Lifecycle Management solutions, needs a web-based platform enabling corporate users to automatically obtain a picture of their Microsoft software usage compared with Microsoft’s understanding of their license position.

Solution Overview

Softage quickly proposes a work plan, and their Java specialist gets to work under the ODC cooperation model. After a short learning period, Softage’s dedicated specialist is seamlessly integrated into the customer’s development team. An LMM web interface is built on GXT and uses its various features, from programming architecture to user interface widgets. The new code loads content from the server asynchronously, using Ajax, depending on the role of the user logged in.

To add a new user the customer need only fill in some required fields, click on the save button, and let it work.

There are several rows, and paging with various filters, in the new system. After selecting any filters they like, the customer can see how the content immediately reloads applying the filters, thanks to asynchronous loading system.
